The Rapid Appraisal of Child Pornography in the Philippines is a comprehensive review of the issue of child pornography in the Philippines. It looks into the prevalence of child pornography in the Philippines; its manifestations; the mechanics of the production and distribution of child pornography in the country and the rest of the world; and the role of poverty tourism, commercial sexual exploitation of children, and other socio-historical factors in child pornography. Furthermore, it investigates the role of the Internet and electronic commerce in the distribution of child pornography. The report also looks into national and international laws that protect children from child pornography and reviews the possible gaps and loopholes in these laws and their implementation. The research also delves into the role of government and non government agencies in preventing child pornography and providing intervention to its victims. Lastly, the research offers recommendations in terms of how the war against child pornography can be made more efficient and more effective.
