This article presents the sufferings of children behind bars. Detrimental effects of imprisonment to minors were analyzed. The process of diversion as an alternative solution to rehabilitate child offenders are discussed. Diversion is defined as supporting the child and preventing further crimes from happening through proper mediation at the barangay level. Disadvantages of imprisoning children were also analyzed.
